SWBF2 Crashing!

Hey, I have a big problem with my bf2. So when I open my game, go into multiplayer, find a server that I want to play in, I join it, then instant crash to my desktop. I thought it was some overload of mod maps. So I removed my addon folder and uninstalled my v1.3 patch. I try it again and it still crashes! Please help as soon as possible!

Are you sure you haven't changed any mission.lvl files or anything?

This usually happens if you've switched operating system (like XP to Vista or 7) or if you recently got a multi-core processor.
If you let me know which it is I can give you specific help on fixing it.
Try turning off Windows firewall to see if that helps, if not maybe you have an AMD processor and need the multi core optimizer tool.

Thanks for helping! I found the problem late last night. It turns out it was my sound card! For some reason it wasn't compatible with my bf2 or something. So I just a driver update.

I have a similar problem with BF2 crashing, except it happens with any mods map I've downloaded. It's only started since I've been playing multiplayer. Anyone have a clue why? No files were changed since I've been doing multiplayer, all the mods were installed before.

Is it just mod maps or like the conversion pack. The conversion pack has been known to crash a lot. Unless it's the only mod you have in your list. I recomend bfx more. I have had it for a long time and I still haven't finished exploring it. HvB #1, 2, 3 are good too.

Interestingly, I deleted a few of the mod maps and now all the conversion pack maps work fine. I have the Star Wars Battlfront Conversion pack version 2.2

They don't have a conversion pack 2.2. Its the conversion pack 2.0 and the 2.2 is the patch for it. I'm not sure what the patch fixes.
