This problem recently appeared on my computer. When I play SWBF2 after like 10-20 minutes the game starts to lose Frames/second (lag) :grrr: :cursing: . I shut down all unnecessary programs, cleaned my memory, and my computer is on high performance mode and it still lags :headbang: . It is not my internet connection because this lag also happens in Single Player mode. I would appreciate any helpful suggestions I could get.

Various unnecessary video performance settings can be reduced or eliminated. Take a look at that.

Play on a desktop instead of a laptop.

Everything worked fine before with the video settings the way they were. I even put everything I could find on the Lowest Setting.

I don't have a desktop computer, and besides it has been working fine on my laptop for the past year.

I'm sorry if this is obvious, but have you done a disk clean up and defrag lately?

Sounds then like you need a new graphics card. Old one crapping out for some reason?

When it starts to lag hit cntrl+alt+delete and open task manager and see what's using your processing power and memory.

I'd make sure all antivirus programs are disabled and you've cleared out running programs in your task bar...

Best solution:
Uninstall.

If it was working fine for a year and only recently started having problems, it sounds like you need to go into your startup sequence and prevent some of the bloat crap from running at startup. It doesn't sound like a graphics card problem. Your other option would be to increase the system memory to work around it, but you still won't solve the underlying problem by doing that. Other comments: Defragging your hard drive might be good for overall disk performance, but it won't do much for your game performance. And finally, run a good system mechanic program. That will find and fix more than you could ever hope to identify by yourself. Good luck.
