Computer won't boot up

Over the past couple of months my computer has been giving a lot of issues. The most current one, which I can't resolve, is that my computer won't boot up. Safe mode or "last good connection" wouldn't work either.

I then went into the huge, dusty drawer with all the PC and Mac user manuals and operating system reinstallation CDs and inserted the repair disk into the computer.

I brought up the "Cannot boot OS" and ran the test overnight. After checking it this morning, it claimed it was working normally. When I tried to boot up my computer it failed yet again.

My last option is to reinstall the OS, but I couldn't find the floppy disk that recovers all my files. Any suggestions?
