Using Joomla

This isn't really a tech support question, but I have a site with a small sized community (146 members) and I basically want to use a better open source software. You guys are using Joomla, but I'm not sure where to get started or how I should use this. Any tutorials you could link me to or help videos/links (So you don't have to re-explain anything that was already explained somewhere on the web).

Thanks.

I don't deal with any of that. It's website/portal management of some kind.

Why don't you try Joomla's site. I'm sure they have some kind of help information or even their own forums.

I did the website.

The web host we use, ipower, has an auto install for most portals.
We actually use Mambo which is an offshoot of Joomla.

After install, there are tons of sample pages and features added, so I just kept the ones I wanted, deleted pages and stuff I wasn't going to use and viola. Super easy and quick way to make a website.

Thanks again. I've never really had experience putting a forum I created on the web (I know how to make webpages and forums however). So I've been looking for ways to learn how. Glad I came here. Usually, people on the other forums I'm on don't have their forum devs anymore lol.
