Computer died...finding lost info?

I was working on a rather long reply to a post on the forums, and about an hour into writing my laptop's battery died. I lost all the information, and cannot remember what I wrote. Is there any way to retrieve what I typed? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

If you hit preview at all, the browser (at least with Firefox) will save that page. Check your history even if you didn't it might have a page of what you were writing. Don't try to continue typing from that page though, copy your work and paste it somewhere else. I use word to compose my really really long posts

Always save the post in between editing to avoid losing everything. Saved me the stress a couple times.

Won't help with the post you lost, unfortunately, but if you're using Chrome you could try the Lazarus extension. Fitting name, if I've correctly guessed what that post was about...

I usually ctrl+a, ctrl+c on a regular basis if I am writing something over a paragraph, in case of battery death or interruption.
