SIGNATURE NOT WORKING

Postby CommanderOtto » Tue Jul 24, 2012 1:55 am

Ok, I found this really cool signature that tuggie had and I would really like to use it for a while... anyway, I really don't understand how to put my signature here. I copy the link and put it there and nothing happens =/ (i've tried with several images).

Can anyone here give me a hand?

and... thanks in advance :star-wars-smiley-008:

SUPERS@MURAI wrote:I did find a way to bypass the signature error by simply converting my signature to a Flash file.

The phpbb code for a flash signature should look like this:

[*flash=600,138]url link here[/flash]

Remove the asterisk between the [ and f. Then input the dimensions after the "=" sign and seperate the dimensions with a comma, not an "x". Keep in mind the signature dimensions should not exceed 600x200 (forum rules).

The url link in this doesn't have to be a flash file, it can be a picture too. I just tested it out, but it will only show the first frame of your gif picture and doesn't animate it.

If it's something you really want, then try PMing SUPERS@MURAI to convert it into a flash file. He comes around every now and then, and has said that he'd be happy to do it for everyone.

Well, using the [Flash] method worked for me. I finally got my Signature picture back.

lol nice pic of yoda smoking....

and regarding the guide comment... It doesn't have to be official. What I meant is that this thread can be useful to those newbies out there. They just need to scroll down and read this thread. However, if it became a stickie or something, it would be nice too.

WD, use flash=160,132 instead of 200,138. It will get rid of the extra white spacing around the picture.
