I'm looking at switching internet providers because our service seems to have gone through the roof in what we are paying. What are your thoughts on DSL and Cable. I have used both for SWBF2 in the past and I have not noticed a huge difference in lag. Kren still kills me quite frequently with my current ISP. (cable)

Unless you live in close proximity to the CO, cable is infinitely more stable=better.

I'm on dsl and the wife and kid are constantly on too. No complaints here.
