anyone explain host stimulation rate?

and how to lower ping lag from the setting in the manager if thats possible

Simulation rate is the "tickrate" of the server, or how many times it updates a second. In most games, higher tickrates provides a better hit registry, but creates more load on the host machine. Setting the tickrate to 30 from the default 20 in SWBF2 causes interesting graphical errors, which are especially noticeable in hero assault.
No clue what you mean by "ping lag." That isn't really specific enough of a description.

Sup nerd.

The standard for simulation rate in SWBF2 is 20. You want it there or else things will start to get weird (ramps won't work, antifall occurs more often, ect). I don't know if the same applies to gunners or not. But yes, setting it on 30 does improve the hit registry although I can guarantee you won't like it.
