No just no.

Get Kaspersky. It's leet.

I recommend the Anti-Virus version if you already have a firewall installed, aren't a internet heavy user, and doesn't need parental control. :ugeek:

If you browse the web a lot, and need a nice 2-way firewall, and site advisors (and basically, just everything lol), I recommend getting the Internet Security Version.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus: http://usa.kaspersky.com/products_servi ... d=50000029

Kaspersky Internet Security: http://usa.kaspersky.com/products_servi ... d=50000028

Btw - Nortan seriously slows your system down. I also have to say that in the past when it scanned my HDD, it detected absolutely no malware; when I got rid of Nortan and installed Kaspersky, I ran a scan with Kaspersky. It detected 2 back door trojans in the folder: C:\Program Files\Vonage\(then like some folders I can't remember)\HERE was the 2 backdoor trojans!\

I would rate Nortan with a C.
Kaspersky is an A+.

just because a program says theres a threat doesnt mean it is true. Most anti programs get false positive results. Im not sayin its impossible, but the vonage folder would be a strange place indeed for a trojan to embed itself.
I use nothing and my computer works great.

Norton is a serious resource hog on a PC. Just the AV isn't horrible....but if you get into that "Internet Security" suite...it will slow even fast PCs down to a crawl. I have been using AVG for several years now with now problems....but I also format my hard drive every 6 months so viruses are less of a concern.

I totally agree with Draigun on the Kaspersky Anti-Virus/Security Program. It costs money, and can load it on 3 computers. Works great, and doesn't interfere with gaming. It will recognize the game (ie BF2) as a low threat, so you click to accept, and it remembers not to interfere.
I have found Norton to be a processing hog as well. Slowed my computer WAY down. A definite pain. Had to take it to Best Buy Geeeks to get it off my computer, cause when I tried to uninstall, it latched into my hard drive like a virus, and wouldn't allow me to load kaspersky.

I was told months ago about the free download 'Game Booster', which made a huge difference as well. "It works by defragmenting game directories, temporarily shutting down background processes, cleaning RAM, and intensifying processor performance. That means you can keep all the features of operating systems ready for when you need them, but turn them off when you are ready to get down to serious business – gaming." (from the website). And it doesn't 'screw' with my computer.

I know, alot of people know about GameBooster, but for those that don't, it works really good.

Ohh...Glad you're able to join the servers Duck! (Back on Topic)
