The scores per minute dont really mean much as if you spectate it reduces this figure so you might appear much lower than you actually are.

Kill/death ratio is a good if measured over a period of time to determine how good that player is. Obviously number of players on the server and the skill of the players have to be factored in. It's no good going "I died only 3 times and scored 90" when there was only 1 other player there and he was a wookie and you were a sith. See where I am going with this?

Let's also not forget the CB gang and u know who you are, they like nothing better than to use this to the max.

You've got your spawn campers who love to sit there and as soon as u spawn pull you to death. And we have a player with that very name who does this to achieve a high score.

Oh and let's not forget yea olde lag as someone thousands of miles away might be a top player but then they try and compete with a ping of 300 on your turf and they are automatically at a disadvantage. It's no good some of sub 100 or even sub 50 guys taking the rip out of someone who can't move because they are a massive distance away, have a weak connection etc.

So there's a lot of variables to consider. Yes the players mentioned are good there is no getting away from that, well except Draigun  and each has there strengths etc.

Kren

The truly good players have a high kill/death ratio over a few rounds. I respect those that fight with brains and cunning over brute suicidal charges. "Ya, I got high score with 54 kills" but the flip side is that you died 50 times. Whereas the player that gets 14 kills and dies once, has game. Those are the ones that I watch out for and enjoy pitting my skill against.

1. This game is old.
2. I didn't start playing online until this game was already dying (unfortunately).
3. This means I never got to meet and play with many of the great players who would've been around while I wasn't, so my evaluation of today's "top" players would not be the same as if I'd played with some of the retired players.

But since this is about the players who still currently play, I voted other. This is primarily due to the fact that I agree with Samonuh.

Okay forget that, I lied.

I agree with most of what Kren said, except that if you get spawn killed repeatedly, then you're obviously not one of the better players. Also, in force on, CB isn't that hard to get around, since it's never too tricky to get behind your opponent and push spam them into submission.

Btw, I don't think score per minute or kill:death ratio is a determining factor when evaluating the skill of different players, since there is a huge proportion of players who don't really try, but would dominate the round if they did. Without playing everyone 1v1, I can't say who's best.

SWGO tournament, huh? That would be fun.
It doesn't matter how far a puller can launch or how good he is at at the game. He's still a n00b.

Oddly enough, the meta-game of hero assault is probably at the maximum it will ever reach. Thus, the top players of today are the "best" in the history of the game. We saw this in action when Uzi came back for the first no block tournament and was defeated by {MM}Awesomeness/Royal Highness.
As for how I would vote, I would vote other. If this is a pol about either the best Hero Assault player or the best SWGO Hero Assault player, either way I would say Exor. His No Force lags behind a bit, but he is clearly the best force player to have ever graced the game.

It's because Exor somehow has ps2 like actions. The delay between executing an attack (let it be a combo then a push) is shortened; Eyes and I noticed this. However, if he has a ps2 controller, then that is why. But regardless, Exor is great at force. Equal or greater than compared to Nerk.

He is greater. I'm also surprised that's the only player who you've noticed it on, lol.

I use a PS2 controller, I've never noticed anything.
