It takes a few manual edits to some of the forum files. The edits are pretty easy to do.... a bit "scary" feeling doing it to the novice....but easy nevertheless. If you take a backup of the files you are editing beforehand....all should be good regardless.
I'll see if I can find the link to the site that gave details on how to do it. I think that I sent Matt a PM on the subject back when these forums were brand new and I had a link to it on the old wgohome.com site..... but.... all of that seems to be gone now.

This is what I did on wgohome.com that ended the spam (well...slowed it way way down). We haven't done it on the new wgo forums yet as the built-in captcha must be working and/or we haven't found our way on the spambots radars yet....
