-Seven Samurai (by Kurosawa, and contains Toshiro Mifune. Enough said.)
-Serenity (by Joss Whedon, and contains Summer Glau. Enough said.)
-Dark Knight (the Joker blows stuff up. Also, Batman is Batman.)
-Star Wars (obviously)

but only the early ones
Also Snatch, Kill Bill (most Tanrantino films), Yojimbo
old school: Big Trouble in Little China Town, Evil Dead

Tomek Bagiński took part in the creation of game The Witcher. He made this awesome trailer and some of the videos that were in the game. Here is the trailer I'm talkng about:

Watch it, it's fantastic :)

Here here to Bocca - I think I got my sense of humor from Airplane and Airplane II.

Just a couple of my favorites:
Idiocracy
I Heart Huckabees
All Matrix movies
Forrest Gump

I like most of those on Kren's list.

Well...I've only ever watched this movie while I was in the college dorms and semi-intoxicated but....

The Kentucky Fried Movie is one that I recall literally laughing my ass off to...

(I wouldn't let my kids watch this one though . :) )

As for ones that were a memorable movie-going experience which I WOULD let my kids watch..... seeing "The Man From Snowy River" was one that stands out. I think it would be good for at-home viewing if you had a really large wide-screen TV/home-theater.....but...I think it would lose a lot (like many films) if you watch it on a normal home TV type of setup.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics stink!
