Beijing was the best place I've been so far in terms of visitation. Makes Rome's history and culture look like a footnote. :P Wouldn't want to live there, though.
As far as an every year type of thing, Higgens Lake in Michigan. Very nice and relaxing.

[04:30] (SWGO)SWINE*FLU: I reckon so.

We rarely go. Mainly ever couple of summers. Trust me, my parents have not-so-good jobs.
It doesn't matter how far a puller can launch or how good he is at at the game. He's still a n00b.

I probably would have said/thought the same sort of thing when I was your age. But... now that I'm roughly halfway to 90 .... I've realized that quite a few opportunities to visit/see cool places can come your way even if you aren't a doctor/lawyer/super-rich. They just don't usually come when you are still a teenager or are just "out of the nest." It takes a little time for the opportunities to come up and not everyone latches onto them even when they do come...

Personally... 95% of my "exotic" traveling all occurred within a short time period of ~ 5 years. That is when my job and temporary home was located in the Middle East...which necessitated a lot of travel and lots of opportunities for sightseeing "stopovers".
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics stink!

:punk:

The Isle of Kren...nice ring to it. Like a Jedi training ground...with a few beers and a couple of well done steaks thrown in

Yeah been 2 a few places in Europe; France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Malta & Gozo, Majorca and Minorca and Gran Canaria and Ibiza each with its unique culture and architecture. Give me Ibiza any day for the relaxed atmosphere, sheltered beaches and lazy days by the pool/sea sipping chilled beers and letting time slip away. If we are not going to Florida this year we will be jetting off to Ibiza.

Regards,

Kren
