Congragulations to My Band

Postby samonuh » Tue Nov 09, 2010 2:04 am

Band season is over, and my band has had a great season. We won overall PA State Championships, were Group IV Northern State Champions (3rd overall) and Group IV National Champions (7th overall) in USSBA (United States Scholastic Band Association). Out of 700 competing bands nationwide, that's pretty decent in my opinion. Wish I had a video to show you. Don't know why I'm sharing this with you guys, I'm just really REALLY happy...

Band season? I didn't think there was such a thing.

Anyway, well done and make sure you let this go to your head.

Marching Band is way more popular in America and Japan than it is in Europe...probably why you don't get the whole band season terminology.

Good job
Its not class or ideology, color, creed or roots, the only thing that unites us is Dr Marten's BOOTS!

Awesome! My middle school's band had a concert yesterday since it was Veteran's day. We played America the Beautiful, two Harry Potter themes, and a song called Furioso. I really enjoy band and what I play is percussion instruments. What do you play, samonuh?
It doesn't matter how far a puller can launch or how good he is at at the game. He's still a n00b.

Percussion as well, in marching band I'm the lead tenor player...

Cool. We don't have tenor in our band yet, only alto. My favorite percussion instrument to play in band is either timpani or drum set.

I thought you meant you played percussion in regular band and tenor sax in marching... my bad.
