Lets see...em who said it was fun?

examples of possible reasons:

1- An admin bans a player for Insulting...player gets mad and out of revange he crashes the server.

2- Same case but he Payes somone to hack the server(thus a payed hacker does it for the money)

3- Competecion sees how good things are going and payes a hacker or they hack themselfs and make the server crash......

The point is, they burgle into someones property(Matt pays for it!) to have benefits(no ban) and to do damage to the community.
They have done it so many times that for sure it wasn't something non-exciting for them(cos they show off it was them and how many srms they have hacked). Despite it, they break rules and law(idk what's in USA law, but I'm like 99% sure it's an offence).
If you want to defend them(if not, sorry, my mistake in understanding what you wrote[my english])...... or at least trying to do that..... ekhm.... my wiiiiiide tolerance has its borders.
