Most mods like dark force rising 2 need the 1.3 patch and it autoinstalls it.

My advice in this case.

Reinstall SWBF2 and download the 1.1 patch from this official link.

http://www.lucasarts.com/support/update/Battlefront2.html

ok...generally dont have these kinds of issues but...Minas,

i uninstalled...
deleted Program Files (x86) Lucasarts folder...
reinstalled to Program Files\Lucasarts\... (but not the x86 folder...changed this during install process)...
downloaded update from above...could not find 64-bit specific, though...
dbl click..
message "your...already updated.."...
login, setup profile...and...could happily play on the wolfpackclan server :-/
grrrrrrrrrrrrrr...what am i missing?

thanks.
Did anyone see which way that guy went?

Filefront isnt bad.

The 1.3 patch is, why do you have it anyway?

The GWL patch is quite good though

well 1.3 isnt really "a work of art" not to mencion visual gliches.
In case u want a few old maps back use the GWL patch which u can download here.

Hmmm in theory SWBF2 hasnt got any issues whith win7 as i have it on 64bits.

try updating windows7 its easy and it corrected a lot of my bugs for gamming.

And in case nothing changes try running it whith the administrator when u right click on it u will find it.
U can still make the program run as XP in case it still is an issue.

I ussually launce it whith Xfire though so try that as well(if u arent already)

generally stay updated...don't think this would be the issue...

i know how that works...will try it...

(SWGO)MinasThirith wrote:U can still make the program run as XP in case it still is an issue.

remarkably, i know how to this, too...but would rather not...ran fine on Vista (though not 64)...

will try this, also...

another question: how can i manually verify the 1.1 patch is installed...msg read "already...updated..." but was first time i ran it and i had already deleted the Program Files (x86) folders (deleted manually, though...after uninstall b/c i selected to keep game data and later decided to clean it out, too)...

registry entry, maybe?

don't see a link for GWL patch (after "here")...

I appreciate the time...

There is no GWL patch, only a map pack you can download.

So you changed from the default folder when you reinstalled?
I could see that causing an issue for the 1.1 patch.

Also there are three versions of the patch, one for CD, one for DVD, and one for international. Make sure you downloaded the correct one.

One last thing, make sure you have "Search all regions" checked in the Online Options section.
