He's Willing to trow his ship in the garbage to catch han.
And by doing this he made a lot of $$$$$$$$$

Also note that Han and leia Escaped by the garbage before(on the death star)
They actually let them escape so they chould track their ship to Yavin4(the rebel base)

This way Boba could have tought "he will probably use the garbage to escape again"
So he gets into the garbage and waits(if it would fail he could just activate his hyperdrive and follow the imperials)

ok that is true but Boba did not take off in his ship from a hangar bay like typical ships would. He allowed himself to have his ship sent out with the trash. Why?

If Boba came out of the hangar, isn't that a bit obvious for Han? He went out with the trash so Han would have no idea that someone was following him.

I'm looking fro some factual element here. The Imperials could not figure out how the Millenium Falcon disappeared and for all intents and purposes it was gone. A co mmander was choked to death by Darth Vader because of it. I was thinking maybe if something actually read the book it may have given some insight on how Boba knew.

Boba must have known Hans trick, being an experienced bounty hunter. More than likely, Boba also had a personal rapport with Vader, Vader being the one who avenged Jango's death. Vader more than likely agreed to not pursue Boba's hunch until Han was lulled into a false sense of security. They really just left it up to the imagination. This is the most logical conclusion.

Actually the book was released on April 12, 1980 and the movie in May 21, 1980 if memory serves right
