yes i downloaded the modtools but i cant seem to make it work

Have you changed/edited the LUA files? Have you moved the CPs to where you want them?

That is my main problem swine i cant find the cps (if i did this would not be a problem) maybe before i do my stupid state testing i will double check for the cps. For the sounds file, data, and the other stuff for the file i will need help but isnt the sound (music) easy to find?

Dan, to get the CPs follow these steps:
1. In the "Active Layer", click CHANGE:. Then press conquest and close the pop up.
2. In the "Show" area; make sure Objects, Regions and Paths are highlighted.
3. You will see the new CPs somewhere on the edit screen. If you want to move the actual command post, click object in the "Edit Mode". Then hold c and move it around. To change the region make sure you're on regions in the edit mode. Same for paths.

Nope. Getting custom music ingame is difficult and should not be tried if you are just beginning modding.
Modding BF2 takes time to learn.
Don't attempt the hard stuff. (Making a campaign, custom sounds/music, making a new unit)
Start out with the easy stuff and work your way up. (Easy stuff is Adding objects, changing the map height, ETC)
