An apology to the entire community

Postby Draigun » Thu Jul 07, 2011 1:05 am

First, I would like to refresh everyone's memory of what I did. It has been quiet a while since that last incident.

I attacked both JBA and the HA server under various hack exploits. One that gave the ability to freeze SM and RM, and another that rendered SM and RM useless, but not crashing it. I also used a tool that had many players join a server; which also led to the continued crashing of HA.

So, MC decided to wake me up and called my parents. Not going to lie here, that was very scary. I've never got in trouble with something this serious before, so as a result, I immediately stopped my vicious ways of "teh hax0r". But, let's not forget GMRZ. Yes, I did join under the name L and knew the pw to the comp server (this is as relevant as it can get for the admins). I'm also known as Cytor (if anyone can recall that).

Today, (or rather few months ago) I have left the "unstable hacker" state and have finally strayed on the path to realizing that the power can assault the entire BF2 community as a whole. Like I've said earlier, I will be use my knowledge to defend against the threats that may be lurking on SWGO's servers.

Also, I'm sure Eyes has already done this, but be aware of Darickus. He seems to be going through the vicious cycle of using the power for his own benefit. I've had a talk with him, and he denied that he had attacked a community server (not SWGO, someone different). However, Eyes had given me the proof of his IP and him being in the server that crashed SM and RM.

As for the admins and Matt, I believe I've done something that truly hurt SWGO (possibly for a lifetime?) and has resulted in my own banishment. I will accept that and take it as it is because if you do something bad, justice is what there is to prevail. I know some are still completely mad at me, but that's ok - because like I've said it so many times now: "If that was my server that someone was hacking, I would be mad for what they had done as well."

As for the future, I will guarantee that you will not see my malicious side again. Hacking is illegal; more specifically taking down something that someone else is in possession with is worse than illegal - it is the act of scum who only get enjoyment from the results of doing such a vicious action.

Please note that Fasty knows only line break (nothing to a level of what I did). I taught him the line break, and for which forth I was again, wrong in making that decision. This can be an isolated problem I suppose. But I will help with anything if that time does come.

I give a personal apology to the SWGO community founder, MC: You are the one who kicked me in the face and made me realize my own standpoint as a hacker. In fact, you may have taught me the true power of justice. Justice is only present when it begins it's process. Other hackers who have not been exposed to this do not see justice because it isn't there to convict them. It's only the power of reason that justice can truly show itself.

Please take this apology not only it's true meaning, but as the end of the dark hacking days. No doubt Dari might spread this information... if that time may come, I will be here to help defend SWGO.

Lol, Matt. Truly hilarious you called his mummy and daddy. I'm giggling like a school girl over here.
[04:25] -SR-Mandalore: who pitches and who catches
[04:29] (SWGO)SWINE*FLU: We'll do it in turns.
[04:30] -SR-Mandalore: That sounds super fair
[04:30] -SR-Mandalore: Do you think other gay couples do that?
[04:30] (SWGO)SWINE*FLU: I reckon so.

Well...that's nice..unexpected..but nice. However, the proof is in the 'actions' so, over time, we will see...won't we? :-|

So long as you don't put that stupid [m'kay] filter on your videos anymore, I guess I can find it in my heart to forgive you.

Actions do indeed speak louder than words. Unfortunately for you Drai, you have a lot of "actions" to make up for. I will take your apology for what it is and hope your are genuine in your sincerity. I cannot speak on behalf of the community or the admins, but atonement and redemption are bittersweet selfless acts.

May the Force Be With You and good luck.

It is indeed a lot to make up for. The saying of having great power requires great responsibility is never false. These actions I have done is the result of poor responsibility and therefore, the process will take time.

But for the sake of doing something right, I will rightfully make up for these actions.

Well going from a admin that ussed to fight troublemakers and hacker, to an actual troublemaker and in the end a perma-banned hacker is a tough thing to deal with for the admins.
Personally i can't judge here, i wasn't even a part of SWGO when all this happened.
I believe that people can change who they were, altough not in 1 day, but how long has it been?
Because it has been a LONG time, i think you have gotten the time to change who you are.

I think time will tell if you truely changed or not, but up till now, i see improovment.
Apologising here on the forums was a good choice in my eyes.

Anyhow drai, good luck making up for your past actions.

Yes, I called his parents but not without warning and only because he was crashing our servers over and over - making them unplayable. 99.999% of the time I keep everything in game or online, separating the SWBF2 universe from the real world, but we take server crashing and hacking seriously.

Drai I've forgiven you a long time ago and the admin team will have a discussion about letting you back on our servers.

Glad to hear you've come back to the light side of the force.

Alright, that's [m'kay] enough. I'm fine with the whole apologizing thing and all, but you lot really have to stop saying [poo] about "the light side of the force". It just makes me feel dirty for coming on here. Just say something like "I'm glad you're not a [m'kay] douche anymore!" I mean really, I get that this is a Star Wars community and all, but you don't have to say things like that. It makes everyone here look ridiculous.
