Lord of The Rings: Battle For Middle-Earth II doesn't work

Hm, how do I explain this...

I start up BFMEII and after a while get a message saying this:
"The Battle For Middle-Earth 2 has stopped working."

So I click cancel and then another window pops up saying this:
"Runtime error!

Program C:\PROGRA~2\ELECTR~1\THEBAT~1\game.dat


This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."
The window's title is "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library."

Does anyone know how to fix this problem before I try to contact the BFME2 support team? I've downloaded the latest patch which is 1.6. Any and all help would be appreciated!

Narg, BFME2 is actually pretty good, I think the game you may have in mind is LOTR conquest, which is an awful game.

I agree with chin, LOTRBFME2 is actually quite an epic game if your into RTS games(like i ussed to be)
And yes Chin LOTR the conquest was a piece of [poo] but that doesn't surpise me, since it was pandemic who made it.


Try reinstalling the game, also what PC are you ussing?, since i ussed to have a bad bug before, with an older computer.

I second what Minas said, I also had a debilitating bug with my game, and I fixed mine by finding a cheap game on amazon.

Coming from the guy who compared me to Hitler for not liking this game before. Sorry that not all of us like RTSes that are so simple children can play it without a problem. And don't give me that "easy to learn difficult to master" [poo], just get fully upgraded Elven or Haradrim archers and you can [m'kay] pretty much everyone in the game up without much trouble, so long as you get a couple of heroes.
