Obama the post turtle
vanity | unknown

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old Texas rancher, whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man.

Eventually the topic got around to Obama and election as our President.

The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Obama is a 'post turtle'.'

Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post turtle' was. The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'.'

The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain.

'You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he is up there, and you just wonder what kind of a dumb ass put him up there in the first place!.'

***Sorry guys... but the more that I read or see about Obama, especially in light of our debt crisis, I have to conclude..He's America's biggest mistake ever! No brains, no experience, no common sense. If he gets another 4 years we (and you) are [m'kay]!

This might be a little off-track but we have incompetent leaders also and trust me the decisions they come out with is unbelievably stupid to say the least.

All the countries that are in the Euro have debt issues associated with member states such as:

* Portugal
* Ireland
* Italy
* Greece
* Spain

There will be more states in the Euro joining them and this impacts on the UK and worldwide. Even though we are not in the Euro we are part of the European Union so we have to help other places out whilst getting poorer ourselves. Fuel prices are massive, house values have fallen, wages are frozen and the cost of living is increasing....brilliant!

In addition to this the UK is bountiful in giving away money etc. to 3rd world countries rather than it's own people like giving India £295m a year...WTH!! Let's give money to a country that has a growing military and space program etc. We can't get our own back-yard in order so what do we end up doing, that's right we give money away. We then let migrants work here who then send money back to their own country and if whilst over here they kill someone etc we cannot deport them because it is against their 'Human Rights'...again WTH is going on with all of this!

I heard on the news the reason why the UK provides funds to other places is because (and I [poo] you not!) "if we educate those countries they will not become violent towards the UK"....erm what, you are giving them money to buy guns and educate the dumb soldiers to make them more efficient killers that are trained in methods of modern warfare, genius!

Then in the news; papers, TV, Radio its all about giving money and clothes to places that have massive populations, no work, drought, famine, pestilence, war, oh and no friggin idea about contraception!! I don't understand why if you have no food, water, job etc. would you think about bringing a child into the world just to watch it emaciate into a bag of bones. Whilst my heart does go out to the kids it's the adults that need to start thinking and stop bonking like rabbits!

If we keep giving money away and the politicians keep making these bad decisions we will end-up as a 3rd world country and guess what, I'll bet the richer countries who got the the money we gave them won't be so generous towards us. Sorry about the rant but I'm sure you guys in the US can relate to what's happening over here.
Look at the past to improve the future.

What?!? Sure..you'll move..right..And, I have to admit, W. Bush was not the best choice economically. At least Sarah Palin KNEW how to run a State, far better than Obama knows how to run a country! (But he knows how to 'Organize a [m'kay] community'! Good God!) I WISH Palin was electable! She'd cut through the burecratic bull sheet!

Kren...I was over in The Arab Emerites (UAE) recently, and their fuel prices are below $1/gallon (Obviously less in Euro)..My point is..if we had good leaders across he globe, on the same page..we'd all live a bit closer to 'harmony' if they'd freakin play fair together. Make's me think we have to just pray.
And, In honour to 'Dad' and the tribute he wrote for 'Dad's Son'..."I weep for the future"...Unfortunately, it applies here too. :-|

Obama got to office on the promise that if elected he would bring a tsunami of change with him. So far none of his economic polices have brought the economy any where close to getting better, in fact unemployment is higher this year than a year ago. He wants to raise the deficit spending cap when U.S bonds could become default if spending continues. Very little as been achieved in the last three years and the healthcare bill doesn't count its become the largest money pit since Medicare/Medicaid. Its sad that the first African American elected to the office of President has turned out so poorly.

I think ya'll are missing something. It ain't the person. The person starts out good. I think they all start that way. It's the machine. The machine is the body politic. The body politic makes magic by corrupting the person. It is the dark side of success. It goes to their head and the person is changed. They are just working for "their side" And that's where you lose them. If we would do away altogether with democrats, republicans, independents...EVERY PARTY...and just learn to do what is right and good for everyone...it would be an ideal place to work and play. But we all know that ain't gonna happen. The machine has gotten into their head and its too late. Now, all we see is the machine trying to protect itself by claiming it is protecting the country... with stupid laws, abuse of the populace, corruption, lies...you name it. There are good people. They just don't want to get caught up in the machine, cause the machine will tear them to shreds. The machine examines your past, dissects your every previous decision, puts your life, your marriage, your livelihood under a microscope, and if it doesn't find perfection, then the person is bad..bad for the machine...and bad for the country. It is a self-perpetuating machine built on supposed perfection, that is flawed to the very core itself, but cannot be fixed without being broken down and rebuilt...like the original founding fathers had to do? They weren't perfect either, but they built a better document than any other country ever has. They weren't wrong. They were good people. Its all those who have followed who have subverted the original intent and replaced it with "their interpretation".

<Steps down off podium> Now...'scuze me. I gotta go take a crap and start ignoring politicians again....damn&(&#(%(#&%$#&

Braz...Obama never started out good...He's a 'wannabe'...without knowing how to be a 'Knows How to be'. He's a pretty package, without the stuff inside to run a country proper. Fooled alot of dumb asses throughout who elected him based on an ignorant word...'Change'. For what?!?! The better???...NOT!!. Ever see him talk without a teleprompter?...Total Moron. That's his true colors. As I said , He knows nothing..Hence all the Government Czars to tell him what to do. We are screwed.

What's all the hate on Obama? Sure he didn't follow through with his promises but you have to admit it isn't only his fault. Previous presidents also didn't keep all their promises. So I see no reason to single him out because of that.
Since he came to office, almost every bill he wanted to implement 'to bring change', the opposing party were against it. Regardless if it had good or bad intentions (based on a person's view).
I admit that I was not fond of several bills that Obama wanted to implement and they were not perfect (like practically every new bill). But it was a step to move onward.
Remember all those who said Obama was a non-US born citizen, turns out he is a US born citizen (took a while to show the certificate but it's legit)...
Remember all those saying Obama is trying to turn the US into a Communist Regime, turns out he didn't...
Remember when people said that Obama wants to kill Grandma with his 'Health Care Bill' (among other things), turns out it doesn't...
Remember those saying Obama is a racist, turns out he isn't (he's mostly on the receiving end). Some even said he should be killed...
and many more...

Again, he is not a perfect President and I never expected that from him.

What I find most puzzling is that many who keep attacking Obama, are the same ones who accused people of being Unpatriotic/Anti-USA/Anti-Freedom etc... when someone questioned and criticized former President H. W. Bush. Was even told when I made a bit of criticism on the former President "We elected him, he is our President and he should be respected, regardless of the situation!" Unfortunately the same person did not held the same view when Obama came to office...

WD-40 wrote:Ever see him talk without a teleprompter?...Total Moron.

I think compared to our former President Bush, he is doing a decent job despite making mistakes. By your statement, you would also consider our former President a moron? Am I right?

From what I gather is that our current politics in the USA is to just blame someone if something has gone wrong even when no single person is responsible for it. If everyone just stops to follow their ideologies and are willing to compromise, then I think that many problems can be resolved (not fully but a bit).

For instance (in a generalized way). To resolve the debt crisis:
Dems want to increase taxes (remove the Bush tax breaks for incomes greater than $250,000 i believe) and keep the Government spending the same.
Reps want to keep or lower the taxes and reduce government spending.
Why not implement a compromise where government spending is slightly reduced and taxes are slightly increased to achieve the same effect in reducing the debt without going on either extreme? Wouldn't it be the most logical choice for the time being instead of just bickering at each other?

Just my 2 cents.

Cheers

Yan, Obama would like to take 1.5 of those 2 cents...

also...

Obama will NEVER do this. (never)

I certainly didn't agree with everything Bush did, mostly regarding the bailouts, but I respected him as our president. Obama is a clown to me and comes off as a silly used car salesman, and a second term for him could be catastrophic for this country.
