I would say no, because if you're in a higher position in both groups, then you have to choose which one the majority of your efforts go to. However, if you're just a player, then being in a community and a clan at the same time, like MM/SWGO is fine. I forever recommend against actual multi-clanning though.

I'd like to point out that there's a difference between "clans" (such as MM or GFAQ) which usually do not allow multi-clanning and "communities" (such as GMRZ, SWGO, SotG) which usually do allow it. Most "clans," including MM, will allow you to be a member of other "communities" but not of other "clans." So... whether or not you are allowed to multi-clan depends much on the nature of the two organizations.

That said... like Mand'alor has said, it can be very difficult to hold a leadership position in two or more clans/communites...
