LOl maybe, it does remind me of a program that showed all america's worst robbery attempts...the worst one was a guy running in a store with a shotgun..
He demands all the money, and while the employee was filling the bag the robber sees that one of his shoes is untied...
So the idiot puts the shotgun on the desk and ties his shoe...when he looked up he had his own shotgun pointed at his face...

I do remember (in Britain I believe) there was an attempted robbery but the robber got himself locked in and had to wait for the police to arrive to get him out.
It was sad and amusing at the same time.
