Why MT doesn't believe in this.

First off, the whole "luck" thing. We are not lucky. Luck would imply we had one shot. We had infinite shots. If the idea that the universe is infinite is true, then, logically, there are infinite objects in it, therefore infinite chances for life. And then on the whole idea that there is no way organic life could form from a chemical reaction, you are born due to a chemical reaction with the sperm and the egg. And lastly, on the topic of why we do not act like animals, it's simply because our brains had more room to grow then a dog. We began to contemplate our existence. We grew into more then animals. And on a side note, it's spelled "science".

What about an elephant? With a brain twice the size of humans, they're considered one of the smartest animals on the planet, yet they don't contemplate their existence. Humans are smarter then the elephant (Well most are )

Well, I hate to bring the science to this, but....
Our brains grow with our age longer then an elephant. Their brains are larger, but that's because they are bigger and their brain runs their huge body. Our brain grows past the point it needs to manage our body and instincts, and then starts the whole "humans are the smartest things on Earth" thing.

So how does that work with your remark that humans don't act like animals because our brains have more room to grow? The point is that despite the brain size or room for growth, humans have something no other animal is ever going to have, free will, the ability to think and make decisions even if they are contrary to our natural instinct.

It also raises another question. there is a law called the second law of thermodynamics basically it states that over time, differences in temperature, pressure, and chemical all equalize, in other words, all things tend to drift towards disorder. We know from experience, neglect your car, yard, or house they all eventually go to pot, the universe follows this same law of physics. So why is it that after all the eons that have passed is the universe still growing in an orderly fashion instead of falling into chaos?

Alright, true. The universe is infinite thing was using knowledge I heard earlier and forgot it's no longer true, however, after 13 billion years of destruction/creation cycles, we probably got lucky. Then, the reason the universe is not falling apart is that because when you first start to neglect the car, it doesn't immediately turn into crap. It slowly slows down until it goes...dead. We haven't reached that stage yet. But, it's only time. And the universe coming to be? No freaking idea. But, I have some theories, but only what I've heard and decided on using logic.


Also, I am not a religious person, so I generally like to stay we're only special because we are the most evolved creature on the planet. Mainly, we are simply the best monkeys. Meaning I generally only use the term "free will" to describe something that came from our intelligence, not we have intelligence because of it. Not saying that "free will" is a religious term, but I generally associate it to religion. Maybe I'm weird.
