Graphics Card problems

ok so i went out and bought MW2 for pc so i get home install everything and the darn thing wont let me play i figured out the my graphics card, a ATI Radeon X300/X550/X1050 wont let me play the game because it doesnt support a vertex shader 3.0 or better what should i do? and if i need to get a new card where is a cheap one i could buy?

What kind of video card are you using? I would guess PCI-E, but it may be AGP if your box is a little older.

http://www.tigerdirect.com and http://www.newegg.com are good places to buy a cheap video card that will work.

As for what card to get, usually right on the box it will list the video card requirements - most of the time the main requirement is the size in MB. I'd bet you need at least 512MB.

Isn't checking for compatibility step one in buy a video game for your PC?

Yes it should be, you don't want to waste money on something you'll never use, but cant return. I get mine from official websites liek nVidia or Amazon because I'm just paranoid I might get ripped off or scammed. Just go to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com because I believe it tells you which card is recommended.

i no but i can run bf2 bf2142 just fine on my machine with no problem...

So because you can run 3-5 year old games you thought you could run a brand new game that was praised for it's graphics? >_>

well idk i keep my comp up to date... so it looks like i will be getting a new one...

What kind of computer is yours? Is it custom built? A Dell? An HP? If so, what model?
