Must read books

I just posted some of my favorite movies and I thought perhaps we can do the same with books. If any of you guys like "Interview with a Vampire", I highly recommend another story (book) by Ann Rice, the writter of Interview with a vampire. She actually has quite a few stories with Lestat (Tom Cruise's role in the movie). The one that I recommend is called "Menoch the Devil". The story is about Lestat and the Devil. The Devil likes Lestat and wanted him to join him in Hell, Lestat was taken to Hell by the Devil and shown around...then....he was also allowed to visit Heaven, and he also time traveled and visited Jesus during the time of Jesus arrest. I won't say any more since I recommend you guys reading the book..it's awesome....I'm waiting to see if it will ever be used in a movie but I doubt that it ever will.

Atlas Shrugged of course. Undaunted Courage, everything by Vince Flynn. Thunder Run, Generation Kill, Shockwave and Road to Bagdad were all good. Also Flyboys and Flags of our Fathers. I read a lot.

Stephen King rocks Haas. Truth is his books are so much better than the movies. "The Stand"...awesome read, I found that my imagination was better than the movie's version of the book. "It"...another great read, even though the movie did a decent job on it.

1984, George Orwell. Interesting look at the darkest possibilities of human society, along with providing a fantastic spin on "history is written by the winner", among other things that i'm pretty sure i'd just be repeating.

The Five People You Meet In Heaven, Mitch Albom. I like it, and saying anything more would be a bit of a spoiler.

And finally, though it's not really a book, HP Lovecraft wrote up a little thing on what truly makes a cosmic horror novel, which I found to be a very interesting read. Here it is for anyone who feels like it: http://gaslight.mtroyal.ca/superhor.htm

1. it's mainly American forum
2. it's an age of Internet and computer games, nowadays children don't have imagination fancy reading books, they prefer to play games where they don't need to think cos an image of a hero and his adventures is given to them,

I read some books, can't wait some spare time when school will be finished in 3 months, have a lot to read. You guys heard of METRO 2033 by Dmitrij Głuchowsky(russian), extremely good fiction book telling about world after nuclear war and people who hide in russian Metro (where are monsters etc.. but I'm not gonna do spoilers). I know, my description may not be too.. enthusiastic and encouraging but anyone who want to have fun and strong thrilling feelings - it's a must read (it's also scary to some point). I promise, this book won't fail you, give it a try.

What does "it's mainly American forums" mean? "Metro" is also a video game with the same story line.

I meant that american teenagers' education is going down with years(low level I mean) and now their interest in books may be reduced. There are exceptions tho so no offence to anyone.
To Metro-game may be the best in its type but book will always be better.
