Here's to waiting till E3, again. Lucasarts is 'supposed' to announce two new games. Of course, we've been down this road several times before.

My money is on:
1. Star Wars: Kinect 2
2. Something not related to the Star Wars IP.

EDIT: and/or 3. SWTOR expansion.

It's way too soon for Star Wars: Kinect 2, like the first one just came out. Something not related to the Star Wars IP is possible, and a SWTOR Expansion isn't a "new game" as far as I know, but I'm sure there are technicalities there.

Well wulfi, if you go on lucasarts' website, it'll say: "We're looking for game designers, blah blah blah." You should apply for that for fun, find out what games they're making, then quit. :D

Considering that Maxis is making a new Simcity, after 9 years of hiatus (Simcity Societies does not count). I'm hopeful that we'll hear something within the next 3 years concerning SWBF-3.
Be patient, I doubt Lucasarts could forego the potential profits if the game is developed. SWTOR is out since half a year and is currently the 'hot' Star Wars game; likely for the next 2 years at least.
Also, within 2-4 years we'll likely have the new generation consoles out that could expand the potential of SWBF-3 and experience.
Maybe it would enable 64 vs 64 multiplayer, which would be quite epic and chaotic (oh the joy!).
