Why can't Trek and Wars fans get along?

Why do so many fans from each side constantly have to yell at each others? Both are great series, each of which have their own merits. In my opinion, Trek is a great series with tons of well-made characters, dramas (Hard Time) and comedies (Message In a Bottle/Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy.) Wars is a filmed masterpiece with a BOSS extended universe (I found Path of Destruction good not just as a Wars novel) and video games (BattleFront, KOTOR, etc.)

It is due to the fact that the fans are convinced that their series is the best and want to impose it on others. It is the ignorant and egocentric individuals that taint a fan base for the rest. As they tend to be the loudest of the bunch and give the impression that many others agree, which is false.

Each series has their good and bad points. Some favor one whereas others favor another.
I haven't gotten into the Star Trek series much, but enjoyed the movies nonetheless.

Personally I love both a ton, though Wars more than Trek. I have seen most of The Original Series, a lot of Next Generation, and all of Enterprise. Deep Space Nine and Voyager can suck Spock. Seen all the movies. I really love Trek. Wars however, has left a deeper impression on me overall.

Pretty much agree with this, although Voyager/DS9 did have a few good episodes in my opinion. Not enough to make them anywhere near the level of the first two though...

I also noticed that you didn't mention [strikethrough]Stargate[/strikethrough] Enterprise. You are going from best to worst. I wonder...

I've never seen the reasoning behind this. I'm pretty good with any well written and produced sci fi. Both have had bad movies/shows as well as great ones. Put star in any sci fi title and I'm watch'n. Although currently "Game of Thrones" is what Im digging right now.
