My kid wants a particular mod for his computer that somehow wound up on mine. All I know is that in Mos Eisley, you can be one of those pig soldiers, jar jar or an acclay among other things. Does this sound remotely familiar to any one?

I believe, but am not certain, that you are referring to the "Zombie Mod." If everyone can play as a rancor as well, then that would definitely be it. I will do some searching for you in a little while.
