I need some advice, more precisely some suggestions. Today I was told by a co-worker of mine that the security agency we work had lost the contract for the site we were working. The contract ends June 1st and our regional office has yet to inform any of us that we may not have a site to work at or worse a job at the end of the month.
The only reason he found out is the director of security for the company our agency was contracted by told him all this and asked him if he would like to stay and work for the new security agency he was hiring. My co-worker said yes and then proceed to ask the security director if I could stay on also and continues on to vouche for me. Thanks to him the accounts manager of the new security agency talked with me for about an hour during my shift, asking me if I like this site and would I mind working for his company. Thanks to my co-worker I get to continue working where I work, which I love, and I still have a job.
How do I thank someone for something like that? I've already told him thank you but it just doesn't feel like enough. The man saved me from the Hell fire of unemployment and he deserves to be rewarded properly. I've never had anyone stick their neck out for me like that, especially since I've only known him for two months.
