You're misunderstanding me. I'm not comparing your stance on smoking to murder, I'm saying your logic is ludicrous.

Actually, yes. :gunsmilie:

Ariel, you live my dream. Health without having pain would be wonderful.

I, myself, have a syndrome that is caused by poor oxygenation to the muscles in my body. When I am at home I do a lot better than I do at my mom's, and I wonder, could her smoking have anything to do with that?

Am I supposed to be so cold-hearted to rob my son of a relationship with his only two living grandparents and his uncles? No!! Afterall, its my mom's BAD CHOICE, not my son's.

So true Brazo, so true...Jam just revealed to me he's only a few years younger than you, so he was definitely saying it 'tongue in cheek'. He could be your little brother, and I could be your older brother.

If it's so 'delicious', and you're not not BS-ing us with all this, then just go around to restaurants and lick ash trays...it's cheaper.

Haas, I have no issues with people who want to smoke. What they choose to do to themselves is one of the freedoms of this country. I feel the same way about drinking, over eating and anything else that people like to do. I have the occasional drink or two. I smoke a cigar while on fishing trips (against my wife’s wishes). I even eat more than my fair share of food. (Yes, I am slightly overweight according to my Dr.)

I was only trying to make a point about how the chemicals can remain on clothing, hair, or any other surface. These chemicals make children more susceptible to pneumonia. Over the course of one year, my daughter has had pneumonia 4 times. Unfortunately I have no control over where my kids spend one half of their time when they are at their mother’s house. Their grandpa smokes heavily and is in constant contact with the kids.

I’m sorry if I offended you in any way.

Here is the link about third hand smoke (the chemicals on the skin, hair, etc).

Dear Braz, you and WD and I are fellow geriatrics. I was just poking some good humor fun at him. We old people can whip these sorry little whipper snappers any time at any game!! At WGO we've got you beat tho'. We have a member who is in his late 70's and fought in the Korean War that games with us. :punk: So next time when you start talkn' smack with me I'll pull out my walker you give you a beat down!

I'm sorry, Night. I have never had any major health problems, aside from my over-active metabolism, which gives me the figure of a scarecrow lol. But, I'm only 20...it won't last forever, and I realize that. I never take my health for granted, because I work around senior citizens all the time and see that health is a precious commodity indeed.

Because I am a Christian, I always have people tell me: "Well, you just don't smoke or drink because your religion tells you not to." No, I don't smoke or drink because it's a personal health choice for me. Sure, they might be fun, but so are drugs, and we all know how harmful they can be. If my not drinking or smoking makes me un-cool, then so be it. But I would rather live a long, healthy life than risk it all for the sake of "having fun and being cool." You cannot convince me that there is a single upside to smoking and/or drinking.
