Well, we got home yesterday, and I had a horrible night last night. Side effects from my medication kept me up all night and if it continues I may be headed to the hospital today. I have no appetite at all right now.

I'm very sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I don't know you very well, not enough to call you a "dear friend" as some might, but I don't like hearing that anyone is sick regardless of how well I know them. Get well soon.

I feel like I'm somewhat out of the loop and everyone else here knows what causes her to need to take medication but me. I'm probably wrong and everyone is as ignorant about it as I am. I just hope it isn't life threatening.

I have fibromyalgia and a painful foot disfiguration and I have to take a pain medication. It causes a LOT of side effects. I can't see how people who are addicted to opiates do it. When I find my new rheumatologist I am investigating medical marijuana.

Wow. You have fibromyalgia? Small world (actually not really, it's the most common cause of nerve pain). But yeah, I have it too. I take Lyrica for it, but it does crap for me so I'm backing down on the dosages. Very sorry to hear that. Medical marijuana? Lol, let me guess, California? Here in Ohio medical marijuana is still illegal. Damnit... my mom could REALLY use it way more than I could though.

Anyway, yeah, I totally know what you mean about opiates, I can't stand the stuff. I decline them because I simply hate what they do to me.

I take 100mg of Tramadol 3 x a day. I tried Lyrica, worked great, but was wayyyy too expensive. I was on Gabapentin for a year but it make me an absolute zombie and I couldn't even drive anymore. Last month I stepped down/off the Gabapentin.

The side effects that bother me the most about the Tramadol is the bowel/digestive problems. Funny thing is that traditional opiates don't give me those side effects but because those drugs are voodoo/addictive they won't Rx them very much.

And no, I don't live in California, but if you go a state north you'll have it right.
