Been bald since my son first lost his hair from chemo. My hair had no grey in it then, it's salt and pepper now when I don't shave for a week or so. I had my spine pinned and fused about 3 years ago and my left hip is slowly going.

These last few years have really beat the [poo] out of me, but I'm not down yet.

I don't believe that's necessarily true. Isn't that just a myth?

It's not a myth it's a genetic fact. Had to study genetics while in college and it's a dominant trait that's passed down via the mother.

I remember seeing that somewhere also. Must be why my hair is turning colors instead of falling out. Good thing I shave it down to almost nothing.

I just read up on this subject since you piqued my interest. Apparently, while the maternal grandfather's baldness is one of the deciding factors in inheritance, it is not the only. Both the mother's family and father's family contribute to whether somebody balds or not. Also, 4 out of 7 men inherit the balding gene.

Pheew, I'm in my 40's and still have a full mane, I think I might be one of the lucky ones.

Damn, that sucks. I can sympathize. Sorry to hear that.

@Nite

Sorry to hear you have some grey. Personally I don't care if a woman has grey hair or not. It's not a big deal to me. But I suppose most guys are dicks about that.

My hair is falling out. I don't know why. I'm 19, and I'm not doing chemo. Maybe it's stress, or one of the meds I take.

That's possible Wulfi, I too take medication (R.A.), and I was told by my Dr. that one of my pills (can't recall which one), may cause hair growth. I'm guessing that the hair might grow in unwanted places, but I haven't seen any growth of hair in places that should'nt be.
