It's a horribly unbalanced game, and my mods (specifically Battlefront 3) change that to even the classes out. Mines and detpacks aren't nearly as overpowered, Engineers are nerfed, Riflemen return as the class you need to play to win. Rocket Launchers are near worthless against infantry.
Medics and Heavy Weapons Specialists are two new classes. The former has an SMG type weapon and health packs (not ammo+health). The latter is armed with an LMG type weapon, and ammo packs (not health+ammo). My plan was to make every class feel like they're needed.
Oh, don't worry, I'm not calling you an elitist. I'm calling out the elitists who use the highest tier basic class in this game as a "I have more skill than you" counter to rocket classes. They do counter rocket troops, but the reasoning for saying engineers are for skilled players and rocket troops are for noobs is a heavily flawed one.
And yeah, if it was up to me, infantry would be front line classes - their rifles should hurt - they should make you want to duck for cover - engineers would be back line. Snipers would be cowards, and rocket guys would be anti tank / chokepoint characters. I agree with the medic and heavy weapons specialist classes too.
There's a whole lot of stuff I would do if I could rebalance the game, and especially make the game more friendly towards those like you and I who have higher ping.
