Atheism is simply having a lack of a belief in a religion. No more, no less. There are no teachings attached to it or mythology to form its basis, so I don't see how exactly it is a fairy tale. And people choose to be atheist for many reasons, not just those you listed above.

That isn't correct. Agnosticism is 'simply having a lack of a belief in a religion. No more, no less'. Atheism takes it a step further, asserting that a God absolutely does not and cannot exist.

Correction.
Agnosticism (agnostic) is the view that the existence of a God is unknown and that human knowledge is limited. Agnostics do not hold a specific position of Theists or Atheists. They just say, we don't know.
Atheism in general terms is the lack of belief of God(s). No more, no less.

The Atheist you refer to are Strong Atheists, a sub category of Atheism.

Cheers

Please avoid getting into an argument over what the words mean. What's important is what an individual believes. If one person calls me an atheist, and another an agnostic, both could be right by their own definitions. Being called either doesn't change anything or obligate me to believe anything new.
