Okay...So what you're saying is, Merc doesn't have any Admins, aside from this JD person? Either way, they've reaped what they've sown. And I agree with Richdog above. This is not necessarily a good thing. It's a dying game..sure...but I hope its 'staying power' hasn't been hurt by Merc's departure.

RIP [merc]'s server.

(I couldn't care less about it's administration.)

Also, SWGO may need to consider opening another server if JBA gets to crowded.

I stand corrected; I meant Merc doesn't have any admins (and players, for that matter) whose primary game is SWBF2. They're still thriving in the CoD and MOH communities. Frankly, I'm surprised it took them months to pull out of SWBF2... I thought it would've happened when I left with a significant portion of merc's active star wars players in April.

A better idea is to increase the number of player slots on the existing servers, especially NYC, to deal with the extra traffic.

Sorry for the double post, it's hard to write from a phone

Lag might be an issue with more slots, add another server? Someone mentioned something about [merc]'s admins playing....they didn't, that was part of the problem. One of their reasons was... "getting hacked all the time".....did they ever heard of patches? That's how out of touch those guys were. I particularly loved when they asked for donations......one month they had a surplus, instead of adding that surplus to the next month, they started with zero again. What most players didn't know, as they foolishly gave away their money, is that [merc] owned the server box. While I'm sure it costs money to run that box, I hardly doubt that it was over $200.00 dollars monthly. Another thing, it was the BF2 players "paying" for the other 3 or 4 servers that they never played in....servers that were always empty, go to gametracker and check them out....always empty. Well....it might have alittle action now.

No, I would definitely not add more slots, it gets laggy enough as it is. I would consider a new server before I considered more slots (and that only if it REALLY becomes neccesary).

Also, the only admin I was familiar with in merc was devilaza (at least the only one I saw on xfire), so he's evidently still around.

Na, we tried that. And FFA always felt just so wrong...

There's already a problem with teamkilling on the Hero Assault server.. I don't think it's in SWGO's best interest to add a TK-on conquest server.
