Forum problems

Postby Matt-Chicago » Tue Dec 15, 2009 7:19 pm

You may have noticed that our forums were down for most of the morning.
I'm not sure what's going on, but there was a problem with the SQL database.
I didn't do anything to fix it, it just started working again when I got back from lunch.

we had short similar situation yesterday... no connection to database server, today it was SQL error.
Matt, can you ask the guyz we use as host if they are doing something to the servers ?
or can you try to run some diagnostic on the database ?

Not every little glitch or malfunction is hacker related. Technology still screws up sometimes without human help.

I haven't noticed anything (don't know if the issue resolved itself with the double posts). As for the site being down, the server was probably undergoing maintenance, etc. And as for warwick's question, we'd probably know if the site was hacked, and there are hundreds of reasons for the site being down, one of the lesser likely being a hacker.
