Hi Swgo

I would like to propose something. I'm not asking you all to be changing rules an stuff but maybe there would e less problems if admins did not play the game while administrating. I mean no one can say that they are completelly impartial. I've seen admins ban people for defeating them saying the person cheated or glitched. This is not allways the case. Also admins always switch players to other teams saying "oh it's for balance" which is total bs.

Even in JBA they overlook cheating and rule breaking when the offenders are on their team. Players who double shock, spawn kill and spam mines are left alone if they are on the admins own team.

If and admin was no allowed to play then they're judgement would not be fogged up

There needs to be better more fair judgement. I'm not a member here but with MERC gone BF2 servers are running out so you all are our last hope. Please let's try to have a fair and impartial system here. I guarantee there are many other players feel the same way.

Yeah that's all fine and dandy but then you would never have any admins because it is boring just sitting there and spectating. If I was not allowed to play then I would never get on the game. And the system is as impartial as it can be. We are not going to hold a grand jury for every rule breaker. Admins are given their power because they have a proven track record of being responsible and mature. Their judgement is honored because they have shown themselves to be trustworthy.

edit: also I'm pretty sure double shocking, spamming mines, and sking are all allowed so thats probably why people are not getting banned for them. (not 100% sure on double shocking because I hardly ever play jba)

I highly doubt you'll find anyone willing to log onto a server for an eight year old game to simply babysit people.

The scenarios you bring up are unlikely. In HA most of the rule violations is TKing. If the offender is on an admins team he's not helping. Glitchers also don't help a team since they stay in the one place, so an admin would have no temptation to leave them alone. Spawn killing is allowed in HA, same as in JBA (if you can find a way to take a cp without killing people who spawn there I would love to hear your tactics :whistling:) I don't know what you mean by mine spamming, unless you mean dropping all your mines in an area, which (unless there is a glitch I don't know about) is allowed.

Bottom line no one gets on their computer and says I want to be a cyber policeman tonight.

I am an admin first, a team mate second. It doesn't matter if a player is on my team, or the other...a rule breaker is a rule breaker. I, and I'm sure all admins feel the same sentiment. But at times, we too can get into the game and miss certain infractions, that by all means do not mean we are ignorant because the rule breaker is on "our" team. You have to understand that we love this game, even as admins. To ask us to stop playing a game we love, to police the server, is like asking us to stop being an admin.

We try to be fair to all players, friend or foe.
What I think a lot of players don't realize is that we also identify rule breakers and trouble makers and don't forget.
It doesn't matter if someone changes their player name or even their CD-key - we know who you are.

So sometimes you may see someone apparently being treated harshly, like getting banned for kill stealing or something, without realize that player had already been warned, kicked, banned in the past, etc.

Keep that in mind, you may not know the circumstances behind an admin's action but they are usually legit.
Politeness is a discipline that compels respectful behavior. Morality is like a politeness of the soul, an etiquette of the inner life, a code of duties, a ceremonial of the essential.

I don't discriminate. I'll ban anyone, anywhere, anytime for glitching and rule breaking. When you know what your talking about, come back and try your argument again. No offense, but you sound like someone who has been kicked and/or banned in the past?

Yeah that all sounds like a bunch of bs
I don't know what I was expecting from all this. you get the clueless members who cling to the hopes that their reports are actually read, the super pro admin on speed giving a soap box speech and then another admin who try's to brush me off because I" don't know what I'm taking about. Whatever, too bad mercs gone see ya Stuipd Witless Game Order.
