Well...I said I wouldn't debate here anymore, and I won't single out candidates, since its pointless. MD's issue is all too true, and major cutbacks are occurring throughout government as well. We're definitely headed the wrong direction, and I blame Congress as much, if not more than whoever has sat in the White House over the past 20 to 30 years. After all, a President is a lame duck without Congressional support. Of course, we can also blame those 'Citizens' who are stupid enough to keep re-electing the crappy Reps and Senators who have been driving this train wreck to destruction, all for their selfish and expensive earmarks and job security.

We need to clean out Congress even more than getting a Prez who actually knows what he's doing. But between the 2 we have to choose from, I'll chose the 'businessman' over the 'lawyer'. Speaking of which, has he taken Trump up on that $5 million offer in exchange for releasing his college records? Shouldn't have anything to fear by doing so, right?

The Dems want us to have the right to choose in regards to abortion, so why are the DEMS taking away my right to choose to have a child if I can't get pregnant naturally??? We can get rid of babies artificially but not make them artificially?

What you said was functionally identical. You listed a single anecdote about a friend's experience with the healthcare system, and stated that was the most important reason that you were voting for Romney. If that's true, it's fine, just don't also state that you value the economy more than personal experiences.

I don't know why she's not able to use fertility treatments, and I don't know how it worked beforehand. It was probably an oversight in the system or a political appeasement, and I agree that it's a bad thing. I don't think you'll be any better off electing the "life begins at conception" party (that stance makes IVF illegal, not just costly).

Obamacare is threatening to take away her entire family's group health insurance policy if she gets pregnant artificially (whether it be IVF, insemination, or even just medication to make her cycles right). That is why my friend can't get fertility treatments. Even if she got pregnant due to them before the end of the year (which is doubtful since fertility treatments take time to happen and need tweaking along the way) if she has complications in her pregnancy (or winds up with multiples) they can revoke their WHOLE FAMILY'S policy on those grounds.

The Obamacare issue and the economy issue goes hand in hand. As MD stated in the first post, Obamacare will BANKRUPT small businesses. By revoking insurance policies for families that earned it or pay for it through their employer is going to screw up the economy even more by adding on medical debt to people. It also opens up those families to the fines (or "taxes") that Obamacare places on you if you DON'T have health insurance.

I'm voting for Romney because Obamacare, in and of itself, will bankrupt the whole country to a state of disrepair before the end of the next presidential term. Obamacare will kill our economy. PERIOD!!!

Yes, and I will preach this till the cows come home... The only time I have used any social services is WIC when I found myself pregnant (after conceding and giving up trying) during one of my hubby's off times. He works for Intel and in the beginning of his career he did contracts that would last a year but then they would make you take 6 months off. Let this be known, I have been paying in taxes since I was 11 years old when my parents first put me on the business payroll for tax purposes and to start building up my social security account. If I become disabled I will get $650 a month and then for some awful chance I die my hubby will get that and/or my son will get that till he is 18 or till/if my hubby remarries. I've been a diligent citizen. And yes, I am finding an attorney to see if I can get declared disabled due to my Fibro.

No. Politics is not what gives me headaches. The mindless repeating of the talking points of the politically challenged is what causes my migraines. It doesn't matter what side your on if your just going to mindlessly parrot what you happened to hear that day.
