Movies set in Revan's era could have their own number series. Star Wars: The Old Republic: Episode X: A New Hat Factory.

Barely anybody would watch the film if "The Old Republic" were included in the title. It would HAVE to be simply "Star Wars Episode VII: [insert clever name]," otherwise the fans who don't play/know about the KOTORs or SWTOR would be completely turned off from the film. Or, better yet, we can relist the Original Trilogy as Episodes VII, VIII, and IX, the Prequels as IV, V, and VI, and then have TOR Era films be I, II, and III. That way it'll please your need for chronological enumeration... -.-

This idea is probably really unpopular, but I really want to see them do an alternate universe approach, not unlike what star trek is doing now. Nothing outrageously different, just different enough so that they could explore different possibilities.

There certainly is a lot of [female dog] and moaning in this thread for supposed Star Wars fans. You can forget about the Thrawn Trilogy for Episodes VII, VIII, & IX. These are going to be all new stories that have not been covered in any way or in the EU.
