I do not see the trouble with racial epithets other than the damage to reputation incurred when you use them. Any racial, national, religious pride is in my mind completely silly. Although I must admit that there are different levels. Its a bit more logical to be proud to belong to one of the more advanced countries than say Oman. Granted there really hasn't been anything good coming from the Arab world in the last few centuries. They really started losing their innovative edge once they started placing prevalence on the later (chronological) verses of the Quran, which is more aggressive (coinciding with the rise of Muhammad to power). The only bright spots in the region are Kuwait and the U.A.E. and with an honorable mention going to Turkey for remaining largely secular for the past century. Now onto the Benghazi topic, while I don't believe it was handled correctly, I also don't believe that the damage control the administration did afterward was bad. They seem to be playing the long term game, attempting to maneuver the Arab Spring countries into stable, secular democracies. And the tactic in Libya payed off given the public backlash on the militia groups.

Usually I don't mind you being a complete [m'kay] head, but the U.A.E. actually is roughly equivalent to the U.S. in terms of GDP per capita, and if I remember correctly according to some sources their GDP per capita is a bit higher. Dubai is literally one of the most business friendly environments in the world. While this *was* all made possible with oil money the sultanate has been very intelligent about diversifying their economy and not to mention creating a breath taking city in the mean time. And as for your comment on debt, pull your head out of your [m'kay] ass, their debt to GDP is only about 50% or so....and that's not even considering the possibility of them actually implementing industrial level taxing, or even going quarter to those implemented throughout the western world which would drastically increase their revenue.

I find it troubling that an administration that touted change (open transparent government), feels the need to keep muddying up the picture. Someone dropped the ball and got four Americans killed including the Ambassador. Instead of finding out who dropped the ball, or made the wrong choice, we get a bunch of double talk regarding some dip [poo] video that supposedly was the cause of demonstrations in the area. (even though the intelligence community knew that it was a planned and precise attack on our people within a day.) Then we get our politicians who do not call this a terrorist attack until weeks later when the evidence is brought to light. But we cannot have a hearing looking into the circumstances of the attack until after the election. Really? Ok, so the administration skates on that and gets BO re-elected. Now we can have the hearings, but the CIA director suddenly resigns because of an extra-marital affair, that was known by the FBI months ago, but just suddenly comes to light, again, after the election. Tom Clancy would have been laughed at by his publishers if he had come up with this story. They would have said, this is not believable. But here we are, arguing over all the smoke, and forgetting to get to the real problem. Who made the call not to send in the cavalry and save our Ambassador and security staff? Why does the Sec. of State still have her job?

Literally wasted out of my [m'kay] mind when I typed that. But hey, you can keep defending a ridiculously decadent city all you like. Not sure why the Emirates are your hot button topic, but hey it's good to see that even you can get ridiculously pissy about petty [poo].
