Why? Do you enjoy eliminating thousands of years of culture? Every nation has had its flaws in leadership. The Middle East is currently going through theirs. No need to single them out and ignore the many contributions those nations have given to science and literature...

Umm, the Arab nations have always been chaotic, and have never really contributed much in comparison to Europeans and other cultures. Even the Arabic number system—isn't actually Arabic, it's Indian. Most of their legacy and relationship with the outside world has been one of war and violence, largely brought on by the violence advocated in the Koran (yes, it does—regardless of what is PC).

I mean, they don't exactly have too many Nobel Prizes...they used to have more contributions, but even those were often made by minorities living within the borders of Arab nations.

I think you need to clarify what you mean by "get rid of" those countries. It sounds like you agree with black about dropping a bomb on them....and that doesn't sound politically or morally correct.

If you read more carefully, I agreed that dropping a nuke is ridiculous...you tend to read selectively lol...

So how do you "get rid" of them. If you read my post carfully you'll see I was asking for clarification because I said it sounded like that's what you were saying.

I didn't say we could lol—just that it's wishful thinking. i realize you requested clarification, but I did say earlier that I don't advocate nuclear war as a solution cause it ain't.

Honestly, the middle east is more trouble than it's worth. That being said, I have to be somewhat humanitarian and go against the killing of billions of innocent people (if you're not innocent, I hope you're dead tomorrow, crazy extremist terrorists!).

The government hasn't broken even for 20 years. Where have you been? Unless Social Security is privatized, it won't ever break even. See how simple this is? :)

We need a presence in these wild countries because they will ATTACK US if we don't keep their stupid ass leaders from living. We need to suppress extremists. This is the way we do it (no bombs D: ), as there is NO other way TO do it. How else do we stop terrorism? We DON'T. Let's just be liberal and happy go lucky and hope that we don't get bombed by crazy Al Queda leaders. Let's secede and hope to god that they don't attack us (that's right, half of you liberals don't believe in a god anyway. Hope to yourself?)

Or perhaps the American education system does not teach you Middle Eastern history as much as American and European. Honestly, take a course on the subject and you'll think differently. Each culture is unique and historically important. Stop viewing the Middle East through the narrow perspective of an American teenager in the 21st century...

Elaborate please...explain how the Arab world is valuable in the 21st century (aside from their possession of oil)...

Explain to me how you are valuable in the 21st century. I suspect the same reasons will apply.
