And you trust someone who claims to speak to the dead or see the future?

Give me a specific example, I'll give you a likely explanation. Most of those will be "confirmation bias", "cold reading", or "desire for attention".

EDIT:

*People immediately getting cured of certain diseases (miracles)? Don't know. Do you have evidence of this occurring in cases where it's not a psychosomatic injury?
*ghosts Scared people misinterpreting natural phenomena
*rituals where people speak to the spirits? Stage magic - misdirection, cold reading, relying on the audience's desire to see the supernatural.
*people who can see the future? Confirmation bias - people noticing true predictions and ignoring false ones. Also, assigning specific events to vague predictions.

My friend said Paranormal Activity gave him PTSD flashbacks to when his brother was literally possessed by the devil because his bike lock was set to 666.

Otto, you should know that the Bible says that one who consults spirits (speaks to the dead) is called a necromancer and is put to death (Deuteronomy). I will find the specific place if you would like . So only pagans could be claiming to speak to spirits and have some credibility—only thing is, THEY DON'T!!!

I'm with Crater all the way on this one...We've finally found a thread in which we won't fight...I'm kinda excited

I know 3.14 i've read the Bible you know. I'm just saying there are people who do those things, just like the Bible says there are people who do those things. The Bible isn't denying there are people who speak to spirits. It is saying that if you lived in Israel during that time, and you did communicate with spirits with mediums or such, then you had to be put to death. It doesn't matter if you are christian or not, if you did such things it is bad like the Bible says. However, I am just trying to make my point that the spiritual world exists.

There are people who claim they can do those things. That's an important distinction. If they are telling the truth, then yes, a "spiritual world" exists. However, in reality...

I loled at the graph... but yes, you are right there are many fake "talking with spirits" and stuff. No doubt about it.

So, if some of them are fake... How do you tell the difference between them and any hypothetical real ones?
