Fiscal Cliff Prediction

Postby kjeopardy » Sat Dec 08, 2012 4:39 am

How do you think its gonna end?

My prediction---it will be resolved in favor of the Democrats around Christmastime.

(The Dems happen to be right in this case, and the GOP should probably just cave already)

I think this article summed up the situation nicely.

Tax the rich and give cuts to the rest of the 307 million of us. This situation doesn't make me like the GOP anymore than I did. Giving tax cuts to the rich, cutting spending on stuff that benefits the rest of us? No. You don't try and make the rich happy while making the rest of us suffer. My family is teetering on the edge of poor and middle class. My dad has like, 8000 in his retirement funds. He's 51 on 1/25/13. Isn't your 401k supposed to have a lot more than that? :s

I say tax the banks, they already stole all of the money. They are so unregulated they do whatever they want with our cash. They say that will reduce credit, but that's a lie, they make too much money. That's why I was happy when I saw the news about the U.S government showing swiss banks who's boss. No more people shoving money in the alps to hide from american taxes.

I am so sick of hearing about the fiscal cliff. I think we should load all of these morons into a trailer home, on wheels. Start towing it towards a real cliff and if they dont get the job done and strike a deal, they go over the cliff and we start over. I bet you would see a deal real quick.

It won't end with Taxing only the rich, and because Obama needs the Trillions more money to piss away, and is a habitual liar, he will also make up some suger-coated B.S. excuse that Bush [m'kay] things up so bad all those years ago, it has come down to taxing the middle-class income earners more too. You may not see it directly as a tax right away, but food, commodities, fuel tax increases, insurance, hidden payroll taxes, inheritance penalties...something that affects your available cash flow. Just wait...you'll see it coming.

After all, he has a lot of people/companies to give bailouts to, and free govt money to those that financed his campaign...like he did for the Solondra folks and many others from the previous election. Beware...He's got a free ride for the next 4 years, and will grab as much power as possible, because Obama doesn't care who he pisses off now as he doesn't need to worry about re-election. He's got the Republican Congress by the balls, and he's gonna squeeze harder and harder until they cry uncle and cave. Either way, a failure of the U.S. Monetary system will be made to look like it was the Republican Party's fault, but everyone will lose.
