Is it that this is happening more often, or are we hearing about it more?

Is this the "everyone gets a trophy" and "you can't spank your kids" generation coming to hit the cold hard wall of reality as an adult?

Is this because social media and the day of texting each other in the same room has retarded social skills in our young?

Is this because "love thy neighbor" has turned to "expect thy neighbor to mind his damn business unless he thinks like me"?

I ask these questions every time I see something like this. When I grew up, we played out side, there were block parties, everyone knew everyone, you weren't "special" unless you did something to earn it. When I messed up I got told or smacked.

It hits hardest when its young kids. No parent should outlive their child. I wish I could catch this kind of thing before it happened, just once. I'd happily take a few bullets so I could tear the [m'kay] apart with my bare hands.

Is it possible that we(society) push drugs on our children? Johnny acting up a school? He must have ADD, give him some "medicine". Mary seems depressed, time for some happy pills. It has become easier to just drug them, not really dealing with their real problems.

One of the main problems is the "Copycat" murders, alot of these you see is because one mentally insane person will see about this thing on the news and for some unknown reason want to do it himself. If the Media would stop broadcasting these murders all over the place then the amount of school shootings,mall shootings,theater shootings.....ect would drop by a large number. I am not saying it would stop completely of course but I believe it would drop.

Yah, the "stick my nose in your business" thing is getting to me. My son, last month, threw a temper tantrum so bad and refused to go upstairs to our apartment so my hubby had to drag him by the hand screaming. Well, some busy body called the cops on us.... Think of the alternative Nite. What if you heard a child screaming? Would you risk the chance of him being abused, ignoring it, or call the cops to be sure? You and yours did nothing wrong, but keep in mind many children are abused.

I totally understand, I've had concerns about other children before myself. It was just the fact that these people moved in just weeks ago. And also the whole time my son was throwing this tantrum he was being told "Temper does not get you want you want" and "Candy like that is not good for growing little boys" and "Do you want mommy to do all the grocery shopping by herself for now on".

The situation was a total burn, and it wasn't even abuse that their concern was, it was kidnapping, which really took a blow to my pride, honor, and my heart considering the 4 plus years it took us to conceive this child.
