Wookie rockets

What makes them explode so big in the game? I can almost steer the thing but I can't get the big explosions.

i don't know about Wookies, but i know that missiles shot from ships can be boosted to create a larger explosion. Im assuming this works on Wookie missiles as well...or is there an even larger explosion lurking out there that is the stuff of legends?

will i get a reward if i capture said rare explosion on tape and release it to the media?

Yea, basically it's like sprinting, if you do it with a rocket it impacts at full speed then it gives a full area of effect explosion.
Try it you'll see what i mean

just hold the sprint button down a second before impact, and the boom gets bigger.

It's velocity based. It's not something I've toyed with much when modding, so I don't know how it works exactly.

But yeah, you sprint to "boost" and impact with a bigger boom. Easier said then done. AT-ST rockets, Award rocket launchers, Chewbacca, and gunship/shuttles all have these.
