Assassin? Your statements are enflamed with nothing but emotion. Was he really an assassin? Also I never told you to "shut up" I asked you questions, based on your statements and you have yet to answer except for the retort "It's just my opinion" I'm glad it's your opinion but everyone is not entitled to say what they want. You are not allowed by law to liable someone, you can't yell fire in a crowded building or threaten to harm a president of this country. BTW it was 2 firefighters and to Crater then incident in China may not have killed any of the kids but that was his intent he just didn't succeeded and that type of incident has happened mulitple times in China where the person did succeed in the killing the kids. Just for the record.

oh yeah you are such an angel jamwin. You are so innocent and you have great manners. First, stop trying to manipulate what I said. You know what I was talking about. When I said I was entitled to my opinion and say what I want, I was talking about my right to say what I think about the situation. "Crying wolf when there isn't anything wrong" has nothing to do and you are obviously trying to hide your hostile comment (which I really did not deserve).

Your statements are enflamed with nothing but emotion

yeah jamwin, let me remind you who was "enflamed" for my opinion:

Just because of your ignorance and lack of understanding shouldn't dictate that someone shouldn't own as many guns as they want?

and putting the gun issue aside... isn't he a cold blooded killer? How can someone say he isn't. Oh nevermind. Just leave me alone man. Drop it, and you won't hear from me again in this thread.

I don't think it should be closed. I simply had bad luck at getting flamed for the first post I made. Everyone else made constructive comments about the topic. I also want to see what people have to say about crater's comment too.

Crater has a good point, however, they do not have a constitutional amendment like ours that gives us the right to bear arms. Yes, I think that assault rifles are excessive, however, the amendment is meant to let you protect bear the arms that may be used against you.... for example:

back in the old days they had muskets so they bore similar arms to defend themselves.

now we have illegal assault rifles on the street, our amendment allows us to bear similar arms in the situation..

Bringing other countries into this discussion may provide other examples of how things are done, however, every country is entitled to the freedom of running their country however they want.

EDIT: I also think outlawing guns of any type would be a waste of time and resources. Drugs are illegal and look at how much use is still out there and how much money we throw down the tubes in prosecution. Not that I think that drugs should be legal (well, except maybe Marijuana and raw poppy opium), I'm saying that illegalization doesn't always prove reliable.

I just don't understand why some people need to have a weapons depot. The U.S is so safe compared to the majority of countries out there (except for europe, which is safer). I mean you guys probably have one of the best examples of police force in the world. Your cops mostly respect the law and have all the tools they need to provide us with a safe environment. They have good uniforms and they are paid well. And if the cops here are corrupt, hell, it is nowhere close to the corruption I have seen in my life. Here, generally speaking, you can trust the police. Not to mention, americans have the most modern army in the world and there is the national guard in every state in case something happened within these borders. Why are there people who need to have weapons for a militia? The U.S is first world, there is no need to "get ready" for some conspiracy of a major magnitude. So i'm just saying..... no need for anyone to flame me for saying this. No matter what I say guns will not get banned anyway so no need for insults.

If the U.S was like an african, war torn country, then I would understand why some people would be afraid and accumulate weapons. But here.... you guys are so lucky for living in such peace. You guys are lucky because here the law exists to protect you. Cops are prepared and the firefighters will come with some real badass tools to save you. See what I mean?

When you've lived in a place that's [m'kay] scary, you can appreciate a place that's safe. When you've only lived in a place that's safe, everything that could possibly threaten it is [m'kay] scary, no matter how tiny it is. It's just a matter of perspective, is all.
