Watcha' readin"?

Postby MATTHEW'S_DAD » Sat Jan 26, 2013 6:30 pm

I'm in the middle of "The Berlin Wall" by Fredrick Taylor at the moment. I was looking for personal stories of what the first days were like when the wall went up and the conditions of daily life under communist rule being enforced by the stasi. I had to get through a lot of the political setup to get to it but all in all it's been a good book so far.

On deck is Jimmy Doolittle's autobigraphy, "I Could Never Be So Lucky Again" and "The Last Man" by Vince Flynn.
When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic. - Ben Franklin

I am currently reading 1984 and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. I like both of them but I much prefer 1984.

"Thinking, Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman, which I got for christmas. It's quite good. I've also just finished reading the Hobbit again for the first time in about 7 years.

Any Clive Cussler book, I recommend. I've read about 7 of them and every single one has kept me up a night when I need to get up early in the morning.
