An interesting point that I do no believe has been debated yet is the fact that we ALREADY are limited in our right to bear arms. I cannot go out and buy military grade weapons or explosive weapons so technically if we are to literally take the constitution at its word, then we already are breaking it. If people are worried that some gun restrictions are somehow losing our constitutional rights, then haven't we already lost them a long time ago with the current gun restrictions?

The way I see it, strong gun advocates fear, especially now during these times, that any further gun restrictions imposed would further limit the availability of arms to them, and this would eventually, assuming a decreasing trendline, lead to even more restrictions on guns to the point where it becomes a complete ban on all arms. The majority of strong gun advocates see that Obama is an anti-American who is only interested in taking control of the country. They don't see that it is just a coincidence that talks of new gun control legislation have come up during his administration, but rather they see it as a ploy to eventually completely disarm the civilian population, thus eliminating a means for the people to keep the government in-check.

How much more out of control does the government have to get before the American people will need to fully excerise their second amendment right, as the Founding Fathers had intended if necessary?

Yeah I understand the basis for that fear, but realistically with how difficult it is to pass even basic gun laws, any further steps besides basic common sense gun laws would be pretty much impossible to pass, regardless of what prior gun restrictions are put into place.

My work involves working with a lot of outdoor based nonprofits but we also offer free survival courses. As as joke we offered one "zombie preparedness course" which essentially is surviving in an urban environment in post apocalyptic times. It filled up within an hour of opening slots and has a 50 person waiting list haha. I guess more people are curious about lawless desperate times than I would have thought.

Sorry Bailey. After my post I edited to 'just before' lawless times. After that point, I feel it's too late. Then would begin a brand new government or Revolution, provided a new government could even be formed.
