EA consistently produces higher quality game than most publishers. While they sometimes err off the path, it happens from time to time. Battlefield 3 was pretty broken when it was released, but they fixed it pretty promptly and I have to say it's the best FPS since CoD4 possibly. Certainly better than all CoD games in between 2008-current, better than Halo series, the only real competition being Bad Company 2. (Which was published by EA and made by DICE also)
Have they kind of messed up with their implementing the need to constantly be connected to the EA servers to play some of their recent games? Yes. But Blizzard/Activision also made the same mistake with D3 (and that's just a [poo] fest in general)
